The Fine Print
Job postings are FREE for New Jersey Center for Nonprofits 501(c)(3) members and $90 per listing for all other 501(c)(3) organizations. Center members cannot transfer their membership status in order to post a position on behalf of another organization. Search firms, please email us to check the status of your nonprofit client’s membership. If you pay for a job posting, then purchase a Center membership within 30 days, you may deduct your posting fee from your membership dues! Nonmembers can pay for their posting here.
All job submissions are subject to review and approval by the New Jersey Center for Nonprofits.
Please allow three business days for each announcement to be posted. Job announcements will be kept online for one month from the “posted date” on the announcement. You may also extend your posting for an additional four weeks by notifying the Center in advance of its automatic removal.
Starting January 1, 2022, all job announcements submitted to the Center’s jobs board must include compensation information. Although posting a salary range in a job announcement is not a legal requirement in New Jersey, it is widely considered a good practice. Disclosing salary ranges up-front saves time for the applicant and organization alike, and also helps to promote equitable hiring practices. The Center has long encouraged employers to include compensation in their job announcements; this new step represents a logical evolution in that process. Submissions without compensation information will be returned for revision.
As of January 1, 2020, New Jersey law prohibits employers from screening a job applicant based on the applicant’s salary history, including, but not limited to, the applicant’s prior wages, salaries or benefits. The Center will not post announcements that request salary history from the applicant. Any such submission will be returned and must be revised and resubmitted for consideration.
At the Center’s discretion, multiple postings, specifically more than two postings from the same organization in the same week, or three to five postings from the same organization, may be condensed into one entry, which will be clearly marked as including multiple job openings. Any organization listing more than five positions will include the language “multiple positions available” with a sample of the positions included in the description.
We publish job listings for paid employee positions, paid internships, or paid fellowships on this page. At this time, we are not accepting listings for unpaid internships, board positions, volunteer opportunities, or consultant/independent contractor opportunities.
