A Conversation for the Social Sector: Igniting Equitable Systems Change Together

We all have a role to play in building a more resilient, equitable New Jersey. 

When the pandemic and racial justice protests underscored long-standing structural inequities in our country, social sector leaders called for action. We cannot wait any longer to answer
their call.

To maximize philanthropic efforts, it’s critical for funders to shift power, build trust with nonprofit partners, and work alongside government and communities. To eliminate racial disparities, all organizations need to confront white supremacy culture. And for the social sector to address the root causes of injustice and strenthen long-term outcomes, systems change is necessary.

Nonprofit and grantmaking organizations must work together – as conveners, educators, funders, and advocates – to champion solutions that improve the everyday lives of New Jerseyans.

The Spring Colloquium will gather thought-leaders and innovators for an inspiring panel presentation, followed by case studies highlighting local examples of systems change. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, share insights, and think collaboratively in small
group discussions.
