Advocate Like A Politician

February 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

We must not lose sight of the fact that #MLK was fighting for #economic policy change.

Dr. King was building a multiracial coalition fighting for economics and racial justice. Our civic education must include conversations on how and why politicians and lawmakers react and respond to different advocacy tactics. Join Us for a nonpartisan, 501c3-centered conversation to learn advocacy strategies that push lawmakers to resonate with your policies.

At the end of the workshop, attendees will learn:

1. Types of advocacy strategies

2. The considerations that legislators make when thinking about moving policy from proposal to passage

3. How to frame your advocacy/policy proposals to gain traction with legislators
