Congressionally Directed Spending – potential grant opportunity for nonprofits
March 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeNonprofits have a limited window of opportunity to apply for federal funding under the Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) program. Sometimes referred to as “earmarks,” CDS enables Members of Congress to allocate existing funding for specific local projects by units of government, nonprofit organizations and other organizations that meet eligibility requirements.
In New Jersey, the offices of Senator Bob Menendez and Senator Cory Booker are each accepting applications for CDS grants until Friday, March 17.
Members of Senator Menendez’ staff will walk through the program, eligibility requirements and application procedures at a special web briefing hosted jointly by the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers and the New Jersey Center for Nonprofits.
This free web briefing will be held Thursday, March 9 at 12:00 noon ET. This webinar will be recorded and posted online, and the link will be sent to all registrants following the session.
Senator Menendez’ CDS application form can be accessed at https://sen.gov/JP67.
CDS information from Senator Booker’s office is available at https://www.booker.senate.gov/appropriations.
