Connecting Hearts and Data: Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Unleashed

June 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

With more than a decade of annual benchmarking studies available, several things stand out about the peer-to-peer fundraising space. Among other things: team captains are a small minority representing an outsized share of overall funds raised. Returning participants raise three times more in just their second year attending an event, but attrition remains steady at 40%. Those who work on peer-to-peer events are often in a constant state of “fixing the leaky bucket” – trying to acquire enough new participants to balance out attrition.

Relationship-driven engagement will help you acquire new supporters and make you more effective at retaining them. It may sound easier said than done given decreasing donor counts, increased competition and the reality that we often don’t know very much about the people in our files. But that doesn’t mean you should resign yourself to a one-size-fits-all approach. In this session we’ll discuss how third-party data and predictive analytics can drive simple yet effective segmentation and personalization for peer-to-peer programs and help you overcome the engagement challenge.
