NJ 211: Empowering Connections – Overview, Website, and Provider Tutorial

211 is a vital service leveraged by millions of people across North America. Every day, clients contact 211 to access free and confidential crisis and emergency counseling, disaster assistance, food, health care and insurance assistance, stable housing and utilities payment assistance, employment services, veteran services and childcare and family services.

NJ 211 is the statewide nonprofit providing 211 services throughout the Garden State, including a hotline that operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year and an online, searchable directory of over 6,300 government and nonprofit programs which is found on the NJ 211 website.

NJ 211 recently unveiled its updated and redesigned website, making online searches and free nonprofit enrollment easier than ever. If your organization isn’t in the NJ 211 database, or if you haven’t updated your listing lately, now is the perfect time to find out more.
