Al-Tariq is the Director of Community & Public Engagement at the Fair Share Housing Center (FSHC) and an accomplished advocate, entrepreneur, and community leader. Tariq leads much of FSHC’s advocacy and organizing to advance the Fourth Round of affordable housing obligations required by the Mount Laurel Doctrine.

Al-Tariq will share his expertise in affordable housing development. Drawing from his work at FSHC and his experience founding affordable housing initiatives like Around the Clock Property Management and Second Chance Developers, he will discuss the need to strengthen and expand community reinvestment to meet the affordable housing productions needs and to ensure that New Jersey families in underserved communities can build generational wealth through sustainable homeownership.
