Renaissance Music in Outer Space

Anthony Holborne’s “The Fairie-round,” as recorded by the Early Music Consort of London in 1976, was included in the Voyager space probes launched in 1977 to serve as a representation of human culture and achievement to any who might find it. It’s interesting to imagine our counterparts on other planets listening and dancing to this piece. But you don’t need to travel to outer space. You can hear it September 10 in concert.
