The Good, the Bad and The Ugly of Cybersecurity
Keep up with the latest cyber threats to the nonprofit community and learn how to best respond and avoid being a victim, protecting your organization, your constituents, donors and stakeholders.

About the presenters:
Mrs. Christenson’s focus at Global Institutional Services (GIS) is creating and enhancing the cyber solutions for families and small businesses, managing the cyber and fraud teams, and a leading role in company sales. She is responsible for creating the Commercial Cyber program incorporating coverage for small business clients without individual underwriting. As the original founder of Cyberscout, Mrs. Christenson created the identity theft resolution process, case managed advocacy approach (the first of its kind), LifeStages solutions, and breach response program for Cyberscout. Under her leadership, the company grew from her idea on paper to one that provided services to more than 17 million households and almost 1,000,000 small businesses when she left the company. Mrs. Christenson has been featured in/on the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, PBS and USA Today as well as numerous industry-specific periodicals. She created the materials which were used to teach sessions on cyber security and response at the National War College.  Mrs. Christenson lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. After living in East Africa and traveling for many years to Africa, Mrs. Christenson is involved in animal and ecological conservation nonprofits for the benefit of Africa and the American Southwest

Mr. Basciano has been in the insurance industry for over twenty years specializing in the development of new business and long-lasting client relationships. He has been involved with many nonprofit organizations and was responsible for creating a national insurance program for nonprofits in the animal welfare community. He has also developed a new cyber security risk management platform for nonprofits as well as for profit businesses. Prior to joining James A. Connors Associates, Inc. in Morristown, New Jersey, Mr. Basciano was vice president of marketing for NFP Property & Casualty Insurance in Morristown. While there, Mr. Basciano was responsible for the placement of small to mid-sized property and casualty lines for new business. Key experience includes working closely with providers to negotiate terms and conditions for each account. Mr. Basciano began his insurance career at Commerce Insurance Services in Randolph, New Jersey as assistant vice president responsible for new business. In 2008 Mr. Basciano received a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, meeting the rigorous requirements. Then, to keep the designation, the agent must update each year with additional continuing education courses offered by The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. During his successful career, Mr. Basciano has been recognized for his selfless ability to develop and mentor new sales personnel.
