The Grant Competition: Approaching Key Components

Before you start writing a grant proposal, preparing your resources and strategy vastly improves the appeal and facilitates assembling the proposal.

This presentation on grant writing will explore what are often the most challenging questions and components framed by funders in their grant applications. It will also examine commonly included components that are generally the most heavily weighted by grant reviewers in evaluating the competitive merits of each applicant organization’s funding request. To tie this together, the presentation also will look at grantmakers’ considerations in the review process based on feedback secured by the presenter directly from funders in the post-decision conclusion of the application and review process. Insights and experiences shared in this presentation aim to position grant writers to successfully compete for grant awards among many meritorious applicants.
