The Human Factor: Critical Elements for Cybersecurity Success

June 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Modern cyber crime is a multi-billion dollar problem that impacts a variety of industries and organizations of all sizes. From Fortune 50 companies to car dealerships and not-for-profit organizations, everyone is a potential target and the adversaries are very skilled.

One of the most effective types of cyber crime is social engineering. Attacking the human element through social engineering is being used to scam organizations out of money, steal sensitive information, spread malware and ransomware and much more. The attacks are successful because the attackers use our emotions against us. Fear, outrage, anger and joy are just some of the lures that cyber criminals use to get us to fall for their bait.

This session will look at the tactics the cyber criminals are using and will examine ways to identify and counteract these attacks. We will discuss how technical controls and the human factor can work together to significantly reduce risk.

Our expert speaker, Erich Kron at KnowBe4, will discuss how combining technical controls with the human factor can significantly reduce risk.

Highlights of this webinar include

  • Why social engineering is so effective
  • Lures used in phishing, vishing, and smishing attacks
  • Identifying & developing technical and human-based defensive practices

As a token of our appreciation for your participation, attendees will have a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your cybersecurity knowledge and safeguard your business!
