Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the PT Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting administrative functions within the Morris County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) as they pertain to general operations, financial matters, member outreach and retention and the successful execution of events.  He/She will work closely with the VP, staff, and volunteer committee leads to respond to general inquiries, assist with database management, sponsor and member relations, and more. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, work well in a fast-paced and fun environment, and be able to multi-task diverse priorities and deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Perform basic administrative duties such as sorting mail, making copies, data entry, schedule and take notes at live & virtual meetings, monitor & respond to phone and email messages, conduct member outreach and more.

·        Maintain calendar, key documents and electronic depository

·        Maintain the accuracy and integrity of database by ensuring that all information is kept current and up to date.

·        Partner with the Director of Events to assist with the planning and execution of events, including post-event survey tabulation, etc..

·        Produce regular Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to reflect the outcome of each event or program

·        Other duties and tasks as necessary


Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

·       Associate degree or administrative assistant certification preferred

·       Fluency with MS Office Suite

·       Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

·       Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

·       Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

·       Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

·       Must be able to work well independently but also function seamlessly as a member of a broader team

Compensation: $20 hour
