Keynote speaker

Lloyd Freeman, Esq.

As the Chief Experience Officer at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney P.C., Lloyd Freeman plays a pivotal role in enriching the firm’s culture by cultivating an inclusive environment where every employee feels valued and engaged. He leads the firm’s diversity & inclusion program, which focuses on advancing inclusion both internally, across the legal industry and in the communities where Buchanan operates.

Lloyd has been a champion of diversity and inclusion in the legal profession throughout his career. He is a sought-after speaker and is frequently called upon to discuss diversity-related topics and corresponding impacts on corporations and their employees.

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. University of North Carolina, et al. and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President & Fellows of Harvard College, Lloyd has spoken frequently on the practical and legal implications of conducting diversity programs within corporations. He was the featured speaker at the 2025-26 Beyond the Rulings series, presented by the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers, Gathering Ground, Grunin Foundation, New Jersey Center for Nonprofits, NonprofitConnect, Nonprofit Professionals of Color Collective, Pro Bono Partnership, and the Support Center, with support from the Community Foundation of New Jersey, Grunin Foundation, and Schumann Fund for New Jersey.

Lloyd also shares his insights and perspectives on his podcast, Dimensions of Diversity, where he welcomes thought leaders from across the country to discuss how they are working to advance diversity and inclusion.

Lloyd has passionately dedicated his time to philanthropic efforts with a number of nonprofits, including the Garden State Bar Association (GSBA), the Burlington Camden Achievement Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region (BBBS) the Howard University School of Business and the Philadelphia Ballet. He also serves on the board of Doane Academy and the advisory board of The Advanced Leadership Institute.
